Manage VPS, SSH and Docker. Resume, update or safely remove My T Server, and enable Friend Together services when needed. Use HostBox on iPhone and iPad.
Tunnel verifies your API Token before hostname setup, with an optional email gate. Friend Together uses a separate share address; both owners still need compatible Companion services and explicit sharing consent in My T. Passwords, private keys and tokens stay on the device; optional iCloud backup contains only non-sensitive metadata.

Install TeslaMate + API, with optional Companion, temporary public IP, or Cloudflare Tunnel.
Hand off to My T
Copy the completion screen's base_url and API Token, then test and save them in My T.

One connection entry
My T only needs the single base_url and Token shown by HostBox. Do not replace it with :4000 or :8083.
Temporary public-IP mode exposes only the My T API on port 8081. TeslaMate's web UI and Grafana remain bound to 127.0.0.1 on the VPS. Initial vehicle authorization and dashboard access use the computer SSH tunnel shown on the completion screen.
Privacy and security boundaries
Non-sensitive connection metadata such as host, port, SSH user, and authentication method stays on device and only syncs to private iCloud when you enable backup. SSH passwords, private keys, API Tokens, Grafana passwords, and Cloudflare Access credentials stay in iOS Keychain and never enter that backup. A Cloudflare API Token is used only for the active deployment. Prefer HTTPS, VPN, or Cloudflare Tunnel for long-term access.
